ABOUT DEVELOPING RIDERS

In keeping with our goals of helping to improve the level of the sport in Alberta, we launched the Rocky Mountain Show Jumping Developing Riders Tour in 2007. This year the Developing Riders will collecting points towards the Athlete Development Awards Series.

  • 2’0″ Hunter
  • Pre Child/Adult 2’6″ Hunter
  • Short Long Stirrup Hunter

  • 0.60m Jumper
  • 0.75m Jumper

QUALIFICATION AND SELECTION

Riders will earn qualification points towards these division listed above at all Rocky Mountain Tournaments for the competition Season where these divisions are offered. This includes the Winter Training Series Competitions.

Rocky Mountain hosts numerous tournaments throughout the year tailored to the upper levels of the sport, but want you to know that we are committed to providing young riders competitions that help develop their careers.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The RMSJ Developing Riders Tour is tailored to more novice riders. By including divisions tailored to younger riders in all of our tournaments, we hope that they will have the chance to rub shoulders with some of the more advanced riders in our sport. We believe that by offering younger competitors the chance to compete at events that are also attended by more experienced riders, that some of their knowledge will help them in developing their skills further. 

Exhibitors in the sport of Show Jumping these days have a wide variety of events in which they can choose to attend, and we hope that by offering innovative things like the Developing Riders Tour, that you will consider attending a Rocky Mountain Show Jumping event.
