Calgary, AB, October 16, 2015 — This year’s Royal West Tournament— featuring the prestigious Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Calgary — is ready to fly at Calgary’s Agrium Western Events Centre from October 22-31. And country recording star Amy Metcalfe will be there with her inspirational song Ready To Fly, the theme song of the event.
The 25-year-old Alberta product grew up around horses and charmed everyone at Royal West last year with her composition ‘Ready To Fly’.

This year she returns to entertain Calgary audiences with her thrilling rendition of the national anthem on October 30-31.
“We knew Amy as a young rider, and she was always after us to listen to her music,” says John Anderson president of Royal West and Rocky Mountain Show Jumping. “As soon as I heard her voice on Ready To Fly I knew we had to have that as the theme for Royal West.”
Metcalfe will be just one of the highlights of this year’s event, featuring Calgary’s only World Cup qualifier, the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League. In addition, the first weekend of Royal West will have the exciting Royal West International Championships with the Spirit of the West Cup in week two.
Tickets are now available for this exciting event being held at the Agrium Western Event Centre on the grounds of the Calgary Stampede. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for online purchases or by phone in conjunction with the Calgary Stampede Ticket Office. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the event at the show box office.
